Snipers everywhere

Psalm 59:3
(NLT) They have set an ambush for me. Fierce enemies are out there waiting.
Lord, though I have not sinned or offended them.

As Saul sent soldiers to watch and kill David...so we too face enemies standing, ready to harm us. We can defend ourselves by staying immersed in God's word and praying daily for God's assistance. We owe it to God to assist one another and continually seek His armor.

We have to be immersed in His word every day! there is no rest or respite from the attacks of the evil one. As a former infantry guy, I see it as always being on patrol - know your mission, make sure your gear is in good shape, learn how to spot and fight through an ambush. I was in a "Recondo" school in HI in the mid 70's and I was taught the 6 P's of a successful patrol: Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance! I have used that to varying degrees ever since then. We are in a combat zone brother, it is an invisible zone but there none the less. We need to do our recons and prepare our tactics to overcome the enemy.

  2. I have been downtown looking at a 5 string bass! I have a friend who runs a music store and I talked to him yesterday about trading my Red Fender Precision Bass for one of his G&L 5 string Jazz basses. He is getting the better end of the deal but that's okay. I have to take it there today to see what kind of deal we can come up with. The one I am lookng at has a "sunburst" color to it, very similiar to my Fender Jazz Bass at home. I'm excited about a new Bass in the house!!
